This Notice describes how we use information about individuals such as Directors who are connected with a prospective client, and how we use information about individuals who become Guarantors for clients.

Uses of Personal Information

We understand that our use of your personal information requires your trust. We are committed to the highest standards of data privacy and will only use your information for clearly described purposes and in accordance with your data protection rights.

We may use your information for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to:

  • providing or managing any information, products or services you have asked for;
  • helping us identify you when you contact us;
  • for general administration purposes;
  • helping us improve the quality of our products and services;
  • helping us detect and prevent fraud and money laundering;
  • helping us recover debts;
  • carrying out analysis and customer profiling, and
  • identifying other products and services which might be of interest to you and informing you about our products and services.

We may also share information about you with our auditors and funders, including those to whom we may assign Agreements.

Basis for Processing

We consider that such processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in considering applications and in operating Agreements and our business, and it is a requirement of entering into an Agreement.

We normally retain personal information for a period of 12 months from receipt for an enquiry which does not result in an Agreement, and where an Agreement is made, for a period of 6 years after its termination.

Your right to object

You have a right to object to our processing your information on grounds relating to your particular situation.

You also have the right, at any time, to stop us from contacting you or processing your information for marketing purposes.

You may wish us to amend or delete information we hold, and you have the right to request from us access to and rectification or erasure of personal information or restriction of processing.
